Fall News - 2016

FALL NEWS

Hi folks! - well it's been getting pretty nippy here where I live, brrr...I hope those who are living in areas where there is cold are staying warm and toasty! (and plenty of hot chocolate). Tis' the start of the holiday season and the times are certainly reflecting that - a time of merriness, joy and cheer -

We wrapped up things with a few great shows, the highlight being the Hispanic Heritage Month concert presentation that was performed at South Country Library in Mid-September, my first full-on production event that turned out to be quite a memorable evening! - It was such an honor to perform at my old childhood stomping...well, reading...grounds (I even told a story when I got my library card...hehe), it was a dream come true for me...An hour-long show featuring live percussion by my friend, Benny Arrocho Calixto, who is an amazing Latin percussionist in his own right - to which we received a warm response by a fully packed audience...including a standing ovation - wow!

I also had the pleasure of having a meet n' greet with a few nice folks as well as seeing some familiar faces from the audience and signing a few CDs after the show - It really brings joy to my heart to see that my music brings happiness to others....Thank you! :-)

In other news, I also have recently received some generous radio airplay online! - One World Music Radio (www.oneworldmusic.co.uk) is a U.K.-based online radio station that features some of the world's premiere artists from across the globe. Their mission is to "unite the world though music" and is Europe's #1 radio station for instrumental genres such as New Age and World music. My song, Ritmo del Alma, was played last Monday (Oct 10) on their "One World...One Voice" program, hosted by Andy Rogers. It was also among some of the most respected artists have inspired me such as: Deva Premal & Miten, Manu Chao, Al Marconi, and even the Gipsy Kings! - How cool is that?

A few new vids have been already added to my YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/GuitarraArrizza) for your viewing pleasure - as well as a new section on my channel called, "Collaborations" featuring a few vid clips of the several songs I have been guest featured on. Also, the full video of the concert presentation is now available to watch! - ENJOY - (view below in the "live performance vids" section)

Blessings, Arrizza
